Speciality chef for new Indian restaurant in Delft

Diya Delft is a new Indian restaurant that will be situated in Delft. The focus of Diya Delft is to be a bridge between the local Dutch society and Indian food. We want to lower the threshold by serving the traditional Indian food in a street food fashion.

What will you be doing?
As an independent working cook you are responsible for leading the daily affairs and progress in the kitchen. You are also responsible for supervising and preparing yourself. You provide input and you are creative with regard to the composition and changes of menus. You ensure a neat workplace and work according to HACCP. In addition, you like to work well together in a team. You will start as a sole cook. When the business grows, we will add other cooks to your team. We find it important that you lead them in a coaching fashion and not in an authoritative way.

You offer our guests constant quality with high quality product and you know how to surprise them with the most unique combinations of dishes. You contribute to a high quality performance and implementation of culinary concept. You are creative so that you can work out a menu where the traditional Indian dishes are served in a street food way.

Who are you?

• You are a positive and hardworking person;
• You have a passion for everything that has to do with Indian food and drinks;
• You get energy of setting up a new India restaurant;
• You are used to working in the kitchen under pressure and have an eye for detail;
• You speak fluent English;
• You have minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Indian cuisine;
• You have a education & an extensive experience in Indian cooking;
• You are creative and can innovate in the way the Indian dishes are made but also presented;
• You are commercially inclined. You have a feeling for what sells and what not;
• You can think up of and execute marketing activities;
• You are flexible and have a passion for your profession;
• You are strong in collaboration and contribute positively to the team.
